Why Wakes?

Wakes was born in a muddy slough, hiding within the willows & filled with anticipation. As the fog cleared, the entrance of a single Blue Wing Teal was followed by a single shot & with the call of a name, Lady was on the way to her first ever duck. All of the hard work & training coming together in a single moment.

This moment became one replayed over & over, hunt after hunt. Whether it was the walk in, the decoys in the wind, or the dogs doing what they love, the creation of new Wakes turned into many cherished memories.

Simply put -

Wakes are not created without movement - They remind us of where we once were and the direction in which we are headed.
